About the Practice

Our practice has been established to provide quality accounting, auditing and taxation services to the arts, including, but not limited to:

  • Visual and performing arts practitioners
  • Writers, editors and publishers
  • Not-for-profit arts organizations, Aboriginal Art Centres, and others
  • Theatre and dance companies
  • Galleries and art dealers
  • Musicians, managers, studios and music venues

The practice was established in 1980 and has a national reputation for its commitment to the arts, being a sponsor of many awards and events, a supporter of emerging practitioners and groups, and an advocate for the arts in Australia in many forums.

Part of that commitment is evidenced by the firm’s art collection, ranging across the gamut of visual art, from Arnhem Land weavings, to traditional landscapes and portraits, to the most current of contemporary art practice. We also attend openings, readings and gigs to stay in touch with current practice.

None of this, of course, counts for much if we are not aware of current laws and practice in the realm of taxation, accounting and audits. Most professional staff are either CPA or CA qualified or near qualified, and we have, in keeping with our status as a Quality Assured CPA practice, an ongoing program of continual professional development.
